The Shire of Manjimup recognised Keith Liddelow for 10 years of service to the Heritage Park committee at its council meeting on Thursday.

Mr Liddelow started on the Heritage Park committee in April, 2008.

“It’s a bit embarrassing because you don’t do any of this for any accolades or recognition, you just go and do it because you believe in it,” he said.

“It’s unbelievable the transition that has happened down there at the park, I have confidence that the council will now maintain the facilities and it will stand for generations,” he said.

Shire president Paul Omodei said volunteers like Mr Liddelow made the Manjimup community a solid community.

“He’s been a volunteer in the community in a number of areas and special recognition has been given to him for his 10 years plus of involvement on the Manjimup Heritage Park advisory committee,” he said.

“We rely on our volunteers to do a lot of things and Keith has excelled in that area, and I think it was a small token to recognise him by providing him with a certificate to recognise his service, we certainly value people like him very highly.”
