Bridgetown police received a call about 8.30am that the bus crashed near the intersection of Lefroy Road and Walter Road.

It is believed the school bus — travelling between 20km and 30km an hour — hit a soft drain verge, slid into the bank on the side of the road and scraped along a tree.

Two back windows were broken during the crash.

The bus driver removed all the students off the bus.

A replacement bus was organised and some parents attended the scene and took their children the rest of the way to school.

After the crash a replacement bus was ordered to take the students to school.
