Man left fighting for life after allegedly being dragged across street in Sydney suburb of Ashfield, 38yo arrested

A man has been left fighting for life after allegedly being “dragged” across the street by two others in Sydney’s inner west. A crime scene has been established as emergency services were called to Holden St near Liverpool Rd in Ashfield, about 3pm on Tuesday following reports of a concern for welfare. Officers from Burwood police area command were told two men were allegedly seen dragging a third man with serious injuries. The injured man, believed to be in his 50s, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in critical condition The two other men had fled the scene before police arrived. Police later arrested a 38-year-old man nearby and he was taken into Burwood police station where inquiries continue.
