Saturday Lotto: Two West Australians become overnight multi-millionaires after winning $2.31m each

Two Western Aussies have become overnight multi-millionaires after scooping division one prizes in Saturday Lotto’s rare $12 million jackpot draw.
The lucky ticketholders each pocketed more than $2.31 million, with the winning tickets bought at The Lucky Charm in Victoria Park and through Lotterywest Play Online.
Lotterywest said on Monday that it was still waiting to hear from the winners after the massive windfall.
Spokeswoman Sarah Dawson said Saturday night’s draw was especially significant because Saturday Lotto jackpots are extremely rare.
“It’s only the fifth time in the past 20 years we’ve seen Saturday Lotto jackpot, which makes these wins even more special,” she said.
“We can’t wait to welcome our latest WA winners into the Lotterywest Winners Room and find out how they are going to enjoy their life-changing prizes.”
Across the country, the draw produced six division one winners, including one in New South Wales and three in Queensland.
WA players also had more reason to celebrate, with eight division two wins in the State — each worth more than $12,800.
Thanks to players and retailers across the State, all available profit from every Lotto ticket sold supports WA communities through Lotterywest grants.
A Lotterywest grant of $120,000 is supporting the 2026 Joondalup Festival, which is in full swing and offers a jam-packed program of immersive art, vibrant performances and engaging workshops.
