More eight ball success for in-form Brody Conroy
Brody Conroy’s impressive eight ball form continued last weekend when he claimed the first division closed singles title against Jake Persello.
It has been a whirlwind six months for Conroy, which has seen him collect the Goldfields Eight Ball Association’s summer individual double, the Dax Wasley and IMFS singles, and heading the averages for WA’s winning team at the recent national blackball titles.
Conroy and Persello will also be important cogs in the region’s first division team at the annual country week titles in Perth during the June long weekend.
Rounding out the top four last weekend were Keenan Cigler and Jasely Dimer.
In local division one competition, Grand Sharpshooters’ undefeated start to the season continued last week when they brushed aside Tower Jokers.
Grand Trolley Boys moved into second place by defeating Country Club Cobras, and Grand Masters returned to the winners’ list after defeating Suns.
Division two winners were Grand Mafia, Country Club Ballers and Main Reef Breakers.
In Thursday night’s top matches, the first division spotlight is on the clash between Masters and Jokers with a top four spot on offer.
In division two, County Club Ballers and Gala Warriors will lock horns in a battle of second against third.
Tournament action continues on Saturday with the second division closed singles.
Nominations will be taken from 12.30pm for a 1pm start.
