Kalgoorlie hold sway as Tarasinski bags three majors in colts triumph
Harrison Tarasinski emerged as the leading forward with three goals in Kalgoorlie’s second semifinal win by 19 points, 9.7 (61) to 6.6 (42), against Mines Rovers last Saturday in the Goldfields Football League’s colts division.
The Roos were never headed en route to booking a place in the grand final when six others complemented Tarasinski’s efforts with a goal apiece.
Charlie Scafidi and Jett Stevens each kicked two goals in a losing effort for Mines Rovers.
In last Sunday’s first semifinal, Boulder cashed-in on a fast start to easily best Railways, 14.10 (94) to 5.4 (34).
The Tigers led by 45 points at the main break and they rammed home the advantage with a six-goal second half.
Thomas Coughlan and Mark Stokes led Boulder’s forwards, each with three goals.
Boulder meet Mines Rovers in Saturday’s preliminary final at Digger Daws Oval, from 10.30am.
In last weekend’s reserves matches, Mines Rovers beat Boulder in the second semifinal by 15 points, 9.8 (62) to 6.11 (47) and Railways prevailed over Kalgoorlie in the first semifinal by 35 points, 10.9 (69) to 5.4 (34).
Boulder play Railways in Saturday’s preliminary final at 12.30pm.
