Peter Fernie’s domination at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Racing Club is showing no signs of slowing down after he landed five out of the seven winners at last Sunday’s meeting.

Already with a big lead for trainer of the year, Fernie opened the card with victories to Baalbek ($1.75 favourite) and Secret Attire ($2.35 favourite).

The sequence was broken by the Justin Robins-trained Military Action ($11) in race three.

But it was short-lived when Fernie runners Talk It Up ($2.45 favourite), Flying The Flag ($7.50) and Dreamtime Jean ($2.35 favourite) won three of the last four events.

It capped off a big day in the saddle for Natasha Faithfull, who rode a double with Secret Attire and Dreamtime Jean.

Chanel Cooper piloted Baalbek and Lucy Fiore and Jade McNaught were successful aboard Talk It Up and Flying The Flag, respectively.

Fiore also chalked-up a riding double on the Brett Drury-trained Onemoreforleo ($2.90 favourite) in race six.

The next KBRC meeting is this Sunday, followed by the Joan Percy Memorial Cup meeting on June 9 and the Mayoral Cup on June 16.
