Composite teams show way in both sections of annual spring carnival

Two composite teams showed the way with a victory apiece last week in the Kalgoorlie Ladies Bowling Club’s annual spring carnival.

The four-day program drew players from across WA, with a combination of Jade O’Neil, Susan Moir, Tricia Tyson and Sharon Whana successful in the welcome fours.

They finished with 16 points and 29 shots-up.

Wanneroo were the runners-up from Dumbleyung-Moodiarrup.

In the farewell fours, Denise Edwards, Margaret Hawkins, Marilyn Jackson and Coral Grant headed the field with 12 points and 33 shots-up.

Wanneroo and Safety Bay filled the minor placings.

The 2024 event drew 24 teams, including visiting players from Mt Barker, Esperance, Hopetoun, Margaret River, Westonia, Goomalling, Port Bouvard and various Perth clubs.
