The active citizenship award for a group or event went to the Tom Curtain event which brought an immersive and family friendly showcase of rural Australian life through live music and storytelling.

The event boosted community morale and delivered vital messages around mental health, rural challenges and the importance of resilience in regional communities.

Woodanilling Rangers Hockey Club was awarded with the active citizenship award for a group or event as they delivered a strong 2025 season, fielding three senior teams and a middle school side.

Following the ceremony, families were able to take part in activities like tug of war, thong throwing, water inflatables and live entertainment which attracted more than 120 people over the course of the day.
