Snapshot in Time: The key role the old Post Office and Telephone Exchange played in Mullewa’s history

The old Post Office and Telephone Exchange at Mullewa played an integral role in the community. In addition to circulating the daily mail and running a busy exchange, staff collected temperature and rainfall readings, plus provided other important government functions. Often featured in newspaper social pages such as the “Mullewa Jottings”, the movements of old and new staff were well recorded. Included in this view is Bill Barden’s latest Holden.
