Geraldton Netball round 4 wrap: High-scoring Aztecs and Kazuals pick up big wins

Kazuals and Aztecs both picked up big wins in round four of the Geraldton netball season on Tuesday night.

In the first game of the night, Kazuals defeated Falcons 54-32.

A tight first quarter saw Kazuals lead 13-9 at the break and they pulled away in the second, third and fourth quarters, running out comfortable 22-point winners.

After that game, Aztecs claimed a 34-point win over Lightning.

The reigning premiers dominated from start to finish, scoring 62 points to Lightning’s 28.

Aztecs coach Leanne Fiorenza said she was happy with how her team was performing with three games under their belt.

“I’ve still got the same attacking line-up as last year but I do have a different backline. So our little plan for the year is to work on our defensive structure just so that we gel better as a team,” she said.

7.30pm Falcons v Lightning
