Police charge two men after $1 million cash found at Guildford Cemetery

Two men have been charged with money laundering after police discovered $1 million in cash at the Guildford Cemetery.

Money laundering squad detectives arrested a 30-year-old Hocking man and a 22-year-old East Fremantle man after the bumper cash haul was discovered earlier this month.

Officers raided the Hocking man’s house after the cash was discovered, where they allegedly found 200g of methylamphetamine.

He has been charged with laundering property or money from the proceeds of a major offence and possessing a trafficable quantity of meth with intent to sell of supply.

He is due to appear at Perth Magistrate’s Court on May 3.

The East Fremantle man was charged with laundering property or money from the proceeds of a major offence and will appear in Perth Magistrate’s Court on June 28.
