A fifth person has been charged after a violent home invasion in Gosnells last month, as one man remains on the run.

Police said several armed intruders smashed their way into the Ashburton Drive home at about 8.15pm on Sunday June 28, and violently assaulted two occupants before stealing a Toyota Hilux.

Neighbours said they called police after hearing shouting, banging and glass breaking.

“We heard one of the guys say, ‘Get the gun’,” a nearby resident said.
