New South Wales has recorded 19 new cases of Covid-19 up to 8pm on Tuesday night.

NSW chief health officer Dr Kerry said 17 of the 19 cases were linked to previously confirmed cases while the other two are under investigation.

Of those two, one person lives in the eastern suburbs and the other works within Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Seven of the 19 cases had been in isolation for their infectious period.

Dr Chant explained where some of Tuesday’s cases came from.

“Today‘s cases include a Rose Bay secondary school student and the school site will be closed for cleaning today. All staff and students have been asked to self-isolate until they receive further advice,” she said.

“There are additional cases linked to the Great Ocean Foods wholesaler in Marrickville.

“Some additional cases came through the West Hoxton Park birthday party.”
