With all 14 normal season rounds completed, the MP Boys will head into the finals series as clear favourites having lost just a single game in an otherwise perfect campaign.

Playing under the Wednesday night BRAC lights, the MP Boys will face off against the fourth placed Tigers in what is sure to be a thrilling match-up.

For the MP Boys, their dominant round 14 win over wooden spooners Cool Running was the perfect springboard from which to launch into the sudden death post-season.

They’ll be hoping Cj Oakley can continue to perform as he has all season — with an almost unbeatable shot inside the arc which last round saw him score almost as many points as the whole opposition combined.

The Tigers, despite finishing fourth on the ladder, will head into the game feeling confident on the back of a 10-week undefeated streak, which included handing the MP Boys their only loss of the season in round 11.

It’ll most likely come down to the Cj Oakley versus Lattrell Matthews match-up for the game, with Matthews’ 23 points the difference last time the teams faced off.

In the second semi-final, the second placed Skywalkers will look to down the third placed Kings.

The teams ended the season equal on points, and with each winning a game apiece against each other it’s a hard game to pick.

The Kings, being perhaps the most evenly-spread team in terms of shooting abilities will need to watch out for Norman Jr. Fronda and Zeke Mckenzie if they want to prevail.
