Rebel Wilson’s wife Ramona Agruma was accused of mocking the evidence of actor Charlotte MacInnes in an Instagram story posted on Friday morning that compared to her to a forgetful fish, a court heard.
MacInnes, 26, said she saw the Instagram post in the back of a car while travelling to Sydney’s Federal Court on Friday in a defamation case she brought against Ms Wilson.
“How did you feel when you saw the post?” asked Sue Chysanthou, SC, for Ms MacInnes.
“Awful,” replied Ms MacInnes.
“I felt as though she was mocking the evidence I gave (on Thursday).”
Later Justice Raper and Dauid Sibtain SC for Ms Wilson accepted that the Instagram post would be admissible evidence in the trial on the basis it may contribute to an award of aggravated damages, depending on any finding.

Ms MacInnes is suing Ms Wilson for a series of Instagram posts she alleges damaged her reputation after the pair both starred in The Deb movie about a debutante ball in a rural New South Wales town.
The Instagram posts alleged suggested Ms MacInnes made a sexual harassment complaint against hit songwriter Amanda Ghost after the pair shared a bath at a Bondi Beach apartment in September 2023.
Ms MacInnes denies she made the complaint against Ms Ghost and alleges Ms Wilson weaponised it in a later dispute with Ms Ghost.
Earlier in the morning the Federal Court heard testimony from Ms MacInnes that her record label Atlantic Records paid for a series of flights around the world in 2024 and 2025, not Ms Ghost.
Ms Wilson alleges Ms MacInnes denied making the complaint against Ms Ghost as she sought to carry favour with her to advance her career as a singer and actor.
Later in the morning Ms Ghost testified before the court. The British-born music svengali is credited with writing or producing hit songs for Beyonce, ASAP Rocky, Shakira, and James Blunt during a fortune-making career.
More to come.
