Hilton Garden Inn Albany and Albany Advertiser join forces to host sophomore Biggest Morning Tea for cancer
Fundraising for cancer research by snacking on buttery pastries and tasty canapes may sound too good to be true, but an event set to take place in Albany next Thursday offers just that.
The Hilton Garden Inn Albany and the Albany Advertiser are joining together to host Albany’s Biggest Morning Tea, a breakfast fundraising event cooked up by Albany Hilton Garden Inn’s executive chef Randhika Alagiyawanna on June 27, the proceeds of which are donated to the Cancer Council.
Hilton Garden Inn Albany manager Steve Millhouse said he is proud to be part of what he hopes will be the biggest morning tea event in the Great Southern.
“This year is set to be bigger and better thanks to executive chef Randika’s passion and support of this great cause,” he said.
“With $15 from each ticket being donated and fantastic raffle prizes and our silent auction, we hope the community will show their support and help us exceed last year’s total fundraising effort.
“Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.”
Running from 9.30am to 11am at the Hilton Garden Inn Albany, guests can enjoy the deluxe morning tea menu for $35, with each ticket holder receiving a free raffle ticket for a prize drawn on the day.
More than 100 people attended the inaugural 2023 event, which raised more than $3000 from ticket sales, online donations and raffle tickets.
Bookings can be made at NowBookIt Together & Co - Albany and donations can be made at Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea - Albany Hilton Garden Inn.
