While no Aussies took home a Division One prize in Thursday night’s $60 million Powerball jackpot, a couple of West Australians scored very handy paydays.

Up to one in six Australians were predicted to enter the draw in the hope of winning the fourth-biggest jackpot offered by any lottery game in the country this year.

Two ticket holders from WA pocketed a respective $142,219.05, with a total of seven national winners.

Lotterywest revealed more than 207,000 WA winners shared in prizes across all divisions.

As no Division One winners were announced, the Powerball jackpot will snowball to a whopping $100 million next week.

Lotterywest Acting CEO Lorna Pritchard said in light of Thursday’s result, the next draw could see a milestone for the State.

“Now there’s the chance we could create a new WA Division One record with a $100 million win next week,” she said.

“WA’s biggest Division One win is Powerball’s $80 million prize shared by a group of ladies from a northern suburbs gym in 2021.”

While individuals may feel like unlucky losers, Ms Pritchard said “more than $11 million for community groups” was raised through Lotterywest’s grants program.

The most frequently drawn numbers from the main barrel are 17, 7, 3, 9, 2 and 11.

Conversely, the least frequently drawn numbers are 33, 15, 31, 26, 8 and 1.

February’s historic $200 million Powerball draw awarded $100 million each to two players on the East Coast.

This year, six lucky Powerball division one winning entries have collectively taken home more than $270m, with three wins each in Queensland and NSW.
